She makes ointments to relieve itching and to clean wounds; Ingredients: a glass of oil. A glass of lard, parsley, a bit of wax, a small piece of soap, verbena or Myosotis intermedia. Mix all ingredients together and boil well. The ointment is applied to the wound with scrophularia twice a day. It can be kept in a jar for a year. Some people also add marshmallow or burdock. |
